Glenview is a village of about 48,000 residents roughly 20 miles north of Chicago, inland from the lake, with two Metra stations on the Milwaukee District North line and direct access to the Edens Expressway and I-294.
The Glen, built on the former Glenview Naval Air Station, is the best-known neighborhood: newer single-family homes, townhomes, and condos around a town center with shopping, restaurants, and a Metra stop. Outside The Glen, Glenview is a mix of established post-war neighborhoods, larger-lot areas near the forest preserves and golf courses, and a steady stream of teardown-and-rebuild new construction on the older streets.
Schools are Glenview District 34 (and parts of Districts 30 and 31) for K-8 and Glenbrook South High School. The Glenview Park District, Wagner Farm, Kohl Children's Museum, and the Grove National Historic Landmark are the local anchors.
Glenview has enough inventory that buyers can be choosy. A house that shows well and is priced against live competition sells; one that is not sits and chases the market down. Call or text Jimmy at 312-800-1552 before you list.
